“Close to beach and fishing.”

Nice spot close to beach and fishing. House was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed having coffee supplied for our mornings, with a late arrival at night it was appreciated to be able to have a cup of coffee when we woke the next day.

“Perfect place to spend our family holiday”

“It was our second stay in the Sleepy Sandpiper and it was like coming home. We love Alexandra´s house and we enjoyed our vacation in this private and quiet location. A few modifications have been done since last year. For us it´s the absolutely perfect place to spend our family holiday and for sure we will come back.”

“Enjoy the comfort. . .”

I have enjoyed Sleepy Sandpiper more than once and plan to enter this quiet neighborhood home again. The nearby Gulf calls my name as well as Pop’s Ferry for delicious seafood and a beautiful view. Shopping is nearby for convenience.
It is close to Sarasota and not too far from Tampa for nearby excursions to the Dali Museum or perhaps Ringling Museum. I believe you will enjoy the comfort of the Sleepy Sandpiper.

“Exactly what we neded — would love to come back!”

We loved the Sleepy Sandpiper! Alexandra was the perfect host, thinking of all the little things for a great stay, including beach towels, chairs and kid’s beach toys! Not to mention that her communication was excellent! The home was exactly what we needed – enough space for me and my husband, 2 kids and my parents with room to spare. It’s close to everything and even just a short walk to the beach! Lovely trip and we would so love to come back!

Happiest Seaside Town

Coastal Living magazine named Sarasota the third happiest seaside town in the U.S..

The Sleepy Sandpiper is in the hidden gem of Nokomis, in south Sarasota county. All the amenities of our big sister city, but more peaceful. We think you’ll agree.

“Harboring world-class beaches and a top-shelf arts and culture scene (resident opera and ballet companies, plus its own symphony orchestra), Sarasota has beauty and brains in equal measure. Further, a collection of old-school neighborhoods with small-scale homes (not to mention a heralded collection of midcentury modern architecture) makes day-to-day life sweet, easy and an aesthetic joy. And then there’s that Gulf-provider of breezes, local catch, and a laid-back cultural overlay that keeps life here in an ideal balance.”

“Clean, spacious… gracious…”

We had a wonderful stay at the Sleepy Sandpiper. The house was very clean, spacious and otherwise as advertised. It is in a great location being very close to the Casey Key public beach, which is one of our favorites. There are also plenty of restaurants and food stores nearby. The air conditioner was a glitch but Alexandra and her family handled it as quickly as possible and she was very gracious in giving us a refund for one night without our having to ask. We would definitely stay there again when we are in the Nokomis area.

“Quiet, relaxing…”

The Sleepy Sandpiper was just as the listing said it would be. Quiet, relaxing and close to the beach. Alexandra couldn’t have been more informative. And checked in to make sure all was going as planned, making sure we could reach her if we needed to. The list of local attractions and restaurants covered a lot of what we were looking for.

“Perfect Vacation”

Dear Alexandra, we would like to thank you so much for being our host. We loved your house from the first moment. The pics did not describe half of the fantastic reality. It is very clean, bright, fully equipt and cozy furnished. We enjoyed our stay in your awesome house. Our little one found a new leasure time activity: he loved to climb the stairs up and down. The neighborhood was really quiet, short distance to the great beach with dolphins and publix nearby. For us it was the absolutely perfect vacation and we are thinking of coming back next year.
